Randy is now pictured in an add for Mike Lull basses in the latest couple of Bass Players.  There is and old Dean Markley add that I have that shows what looks like an Alembic cone headstock off of an Epic.  I'll have to dig it up.

Bruce Springsteens' bass player used to endorse the Guild Pilot bass (now DeArmond?). Its bodyshape can be described as a cross between an Epic and a Rogue, but it's an 80s design so it predates them.
 
I think it had a 4-in-line headstock much like on a 60s Vox teardrop model, which does bear a certain resemblance to the Alembic cone headstock if you take away the tuners.

Gary Talent is from the E street Band. Bruce may have hired Randy for his solo work.   He (Gary) just had a picture put into the new Fender catalog. Yes he did endorse Guild Pilots back in the day along with Alec John Such and Jerry Peek of the Steve Morse Band. Randy is as Dino posted, using Mike Lull. He did a stint with Journey and used an unusual polka dot music man and also had a few Schon basses. (Neil's short lived venture) I inagine that he's got an Alembic somewhere. Even Michael Anthony has at least 1 series 0ne. But remember that artists may endorse gear for money but own and record with other gear. Man gots to get paid!

Jerry Peek!  What a great player.  I saw him with Steve Morse when his band opened for Rush on the Power Windows tour.  Soon after that, at the NAMM show in Anaheim, I saw Jerry Peek give a short show at the Premier drum booth.  He was playing with Reb Beach (I think) and Rod Morgenstein.  It was great.  There was perhaps 30 people squeezed into this little sound booth for the hour long show.  Rod and Reb are not slouches on their instruments by any standard, but in this room of primarily guitarists and drummers, ALL eyes and ears were on Jerry Peek.  He played phenomenally.  Solos, arpeggios, double-tapping, everything.  It was an impressive performance that I can still remember vividly 15-16 years afterwards.  I have no idea what he's doing now.
