Through an ultimate deal, I ordered a new GBE 1200 head for my cali shows.

I'll post a review in a couple of weeks when I get back. I didn't want to ship out my $ Alembic F1X, SF2, 3402DTR 2000 rig for a few shows. The gbe is rated at 1000w at 4 ohms anf 1200 at 2 ohms. Any one else use GB gear? Always interested in real world experiences.

I'm always interested in music companies still run by the name on the front plate.  ALEMBIC, Peavey, Martin, etc.  I always feel it's generally better that the same name has to look at himself in the mirror every morning . . .

Jeff Genzler and his wife are there every day, though they signed with Kaman as their sole distributor.  I tried a GBE600/210 set one day at Corner Music and liked what I heard, though the tube side didn't sound a lot different than the SS side.  Let us know how it works out.  With so many touring acts here in Nashville, that's the real acid test.  I know lots of guys who settle for a 'road' sound with indestructible gear rather than take their pet setup and throw it under the bus for the next 6 weeks!

I use a GBE 400 with  Aguilar 115 and 210 cabinets and love them. it's the SS head but it sounds great. And you can't beat it for the money.
