What A Weekend
« on: July 06, 2004, 11:15:04 AM »
I just got back from the Porsche Parade a week long convention of Porsche owners, this year it was in Fort Worth TX, but that's not why I'm writing this, on Saturday I hooked up with Wayne in Garland Tx at Larry Morgan Music (An Alembic Dealer) and Wayne brought 2 of his Alembic, and they were both gorgeous. I had a blast playing his basses, I hope he(Wayne)knows he has ruined my life, I want LEDs so bad I can taste it. The guys at Larry Morgan's were fabulous, I had a great time, I hope the next time I get down there more club members can make it, it's fun getting to put a face with a name.

thanks Wayne, you were a big part of a great weekend for me !!!!!!!

Yes, Brother Paul, 'tis I.

David - Glad you enjoyed your trip to Dalls/Ft.Worth.  As you said, it's great to be able to put a face with a name.  I appreciate the kind words, but I must say that the credit goes to the artisans in Santa Rosa.  Even though the specs of the Unicorn and The Dark and The Light were mine, Ron, Susan, Mica and the gang are the ones who made the dreams come true.

And I agree with you on the LEDs.  There's two things I'll never do without again:  a stand-by switch and LEDs!!  I just wish I could figure out a way to get them on my upright.  ;-))

sic Charlie Brown:  AAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUGGGGGGHHHH!
Rats, I'm just a short drive from there. In a way that's good, I can check out new Alembics, but in a way that's real bad because I can check out new Alembics, oh wait that's a good thing, no, geez ah, lemme see what did my wife say, if I ever buy another bass...hmmm, I dunno, it escapes at the moment...

Dave and Wayne sounds like a great time. I'd like to hook up the next time this happens.
