Very nice Bass.  But for such beautiful, exotic and rare wood (Flame figure in Mac Ebony?!!!) it's kind of a shame not to have continuous wood backplates.  I'd have it bookmatched to center as well.  Mica and I waited for almost a year to find suitable boards of Mac Ebony for mine that stll were not as nice as this one.
It's a beauty nonetheless.

hello everybody !

Thanks for all ! Rio is a classic Alembic custom  21th century bass, it has the beautiful Balance K body and a typical  Alembic behavior, strong and powerfull ! It looks like a  wild horse... like a mustang .... a muscle bass !

Rami,

About the continuous wood backplates , I prefer the chrome ones beacause they're so agressive ! They give the bass some kind of magic style ... some kind  of punk style .... and I love it !

Very nice Bass Paulo, I love the balance k body style. I know you'll enjoy playing her and I look forward to seeing what you come up with next.

Isn't that just typical!

Another absolutely amazing bass, and another completely satisfied customer!

It never ceases to amaze me how one company can turn out so many amazing basses, while others just keep on cranking out the same old stuff time and time again.

Paulo, it's a real beauty!!

Hi Paulo, beautiful piece. How  did you arrive at the wood and body style of your bass? The Balance K looks great with your wood selection. Looks like you had the neck pick up moved back, good idea. I'm curious what she weighs with all that ebony. Have you had a chance to put her on a scale?

Well Done!

Gary,

Susan found  for me this great piece of Ebony, and I agreed about it. About the weight it isn't a heavy bass. I didn't put it on a scale yet, but I have a MK DELUXE bass and they seem to have the same weight. Yes I had moved the neck pick up to easy slap. Thanks
