I know others here have complimented Butch Ammons (bayoucables.com) on his superb quality and very reasonably priced audio cables, but I just wanted to echo the sentiment and add my testimonial.
I just received a full set of new cables for my rack and replaced everything (not bad stuff, some Monsters, some no-names). First, let me explain that I live 2 blocks downhill from a radio studio which transmits 3 different stations. At rehearsals where the guitarist plays anything with single coils, we get intimately acquainted with more than one radio personality. So, living in RFI-hell, I have become accustomed to a certain amount of his and oscillating noise from my rig.
But when I swapped in Butch's cables, I thought my rig was turned off. Dead quiet. I turned all the treble and high pass filters all the way up, volumes up. Still quiet. Wow. Those cables are well-shielded! Nicely made, too. Even in your choice of designer colors (I picked red to reduce tripping over my instrument cable).
Check Butch's stuff out. He's a small operator, craftsman, hands-on guy. Unless you're a build your own cable guy you'll pay less than the name brands and I believe the component quality may be better (I'm not an expert).
Excuse me while I go entertain myself with my silent rack gear...
