I know this has been addressed previously. I'm just not sure where. I've finally gotten around to having my guitars wall-mounted. Ironically, my most expensive ones are still on the floor, but I'm working on that. I've had nightmares about the omega tips on the Little Bear cracking off after someone knocked it over. Hopefully, I'll get around to it before that fateful day.

I have mine all on wall mounts but I still don't trust the keeping the Alembics on them. They stay in the case when idle.
I like your Paul. I had a 68 Gold Top paul and a 69 GOld Top. Both of wich I sold to ,at the time, my best friend and lead singer of our band BIG LUCY in the 80's. I sold them to him on the condition if he needed cash he sell them back to me. He got strung out on speed for the umpteenth time and lost them both in a pawn shop for $350. The PUTZ!, I would have given the $800 that I sold them to him for. That was the last time I ever sold gear to a friend.
He died at the age of 42 of heart failure due to chronic drug use. What a waiste. There is a reason they call it DOPE!

The mounts are fixed into the studs, so I have no fear of them giving way.

I don't like hanging guitars where they're hung against the finished part at the bottom of the head, especially lacquer.
Seen too many of them with 'ear marks' that hung in stores too long.

I wish it were a Cripe! It's actually made by Tim and Pat O'Donnell at Resurrection Guitars. They are permitted by Stephen Cripe's estate to make replicas of his instruments. Here's a link to several discussions as well as more photos of that particular guitar...the Big Bear.

Once you get past a certain number of guitars, it's like coaching little league. You'd like everyone to get a chance to play, but some are going to sit on the bench. The five on the floor get the most attention

Jonathan:

Aren't the five on the floor, for the most part, the newest five? (I know it usually works that way for me). Nice collection. Of course if my wife saw this I know what she'd say: so where do all the cases go? At any given time I usually have 7 or 8 guitars out in the living room on stands (including a six guitar suitcase stand). It's the cases that are starting to take over the spare bedroom and the den. What's your secret?
By the way, though I'm not a LP guy, the gold top really looks stunning. I just can't get used to giant redwood sized necks. I have a Phiga that's really cool, except for the big neck.

Now that you mention it, I think the ones on the floor are the newest. I guess that's the way it works for me, too! As far as the cases are concerned, I've got a shelf in the furnace room for them. Out of sight...out of mind. Otherwise, there'd be no way.

By the way, I'm still incredbly jealous of your Series I. Makes me want to kick myself for not bidding harder on the VERY few minty fresh ones that came along on ebay.

My cases are stacked up in the kitchen. I thought that's where you were supposed to keep them.

I keep th cases in the attict and most of my Axes in my music room. But I keep at least one axe in the bedroom. And you know what, it's always sporting a G string and NEVER has a headache! (ba,dop,dah..)

My old Guild S-50 Starfire has a really meaty neck. It is a handful, but it sounds so sweet. I'm thinking about raising the strings a bit and using it mostly for slide.

Most of my guitars are kept in their cases, which are tucked in spaces in the living room, next to the piano, etc.

Jonathan, I really like your wall mounts - I'm just not sure how some of my instruments would like a steady diet of the desert air they would get here in Southern Nevada. My guitars used to love the humidity of Illinois in the summer. =)
