Has it really been that long

25 years ago today since Bob Marley passed away. Another of the worlds' greats cut down in his prime.

yep, I went to a marley tribute concert last night. Good to remember the great man.
Did you know the verdict is due soon regarding the lawsuit between Bob's bass player Aston Family man Barrett and Rita Marley & co?

From the article linked above:

If he is successful, Barrett, now in his 60s and father to 52 children, could receive a payout of up to £60 million.

With 52 kids, I think the guy can use the money, though he probably won't be able to get out of bed and go spend it.  And, of course, Mrs. Barrett REALLY deserves it!  LOL

I will have to check out the details of the verdict. But that is shocking and very sad to hear.
I'm sure Bob will be turning in his grave over that verdict. Even the fact that Aston had to go to all that trouble just to get what many understand to be his right.

After the original Wailers split, Aston was Bob's right hand man.

As a life long fan of the band from the very early days I would go as far as to say that without Aston's talent as a writer, player, musician prodcer etc etc the wailers message would not have had the same power as it did.
I would be very interested to find Aston's comments after the case and also what wailers founding member Bunny Wailer thinks also.
Some web searching to do.....
