While I liked Syd and am sorry at his passing, I pretty much agree with Spliffy. I was really annoyed at Roger Waters' attempt to cash-in on the whole people who lead Pink Floyd go *insane* bit in the late '70s as well. There used to be a bunch of concert tapes floating around where he would scream at the crowd, things like stop fighting and other over-the-top-geez-aren't-I-nuts stuff.. I think Syd really did set the stage for what was to come later, imho, but it took Gilmour to pull it off. And some would argue (an old GF of mine, for instance) that the early Syd Floyd totally beat the crap out of the non-Syd Floyd. We're getting old, folks...
