You said 'This time I am not going to lay down and take it.' What exactly are you on about? I've read the Bike week thread and haven't seen anything in there to suggest Dave was pulling you up on anything at all. What I did see was you being pretty offensive for no apparent reason and I'm wondering why? It was Kevins thread and he was happy enough to go along with the beer and pizza direction so why should that upset you so much? As you've said, you have a pretty short history in this club, perhaps you should read through some of the archives to see how many threads get 'hijacked'. That seems to be the way most of us prefer the club to be run. I notice you don't tell us very much about yourself in your profile, Not really joining in with the rest of us in my opinion.

Roy,
I don't get the point of all the ranting. You just appear to be awaiting every post on this board and seem to feel every update is a personal attack. In particular you seem to hold some sort of a grudge with Dave. I have never seen Dave use insulting language nor personally attack anyone for their views or comments. He has voiced opinions but so has everybody else here. One of the things you need to accept is many threads end up discussing the three B's (basses, beer and bikes). In general it is considered acceptable behavior by the folks here and is easily stopped on request of the thread owner.

Maybe it's time to talk about the delicious beverages your country has to offer, I'm a big fan of the islay malts, Bowmore, Laphroaig, lagavulin.. I love the peat flavour

laphroag is my favourite malt although I'll willingly drink anything that comes my way. Currently though, I'm halfway through a bottle of jack daniels that I got in may. I'm more of a wine drinker so a bottle of whisky will last 3 or 4 months unless my dad comes to visit.

You should have seen my dad's face when he tasted Laphroaig for the first time! He didn't like it at all... Now it's his favorite!
I started with JD and still love it, but I must say I don't drink a lot these days...
A few years ago I drank a whole botlle of JD in less than 2 hours, I've been sick for 3 days (severely, in fact was feeling bad all week!) and haven't been drunk since then!
I've had a collection of 54 different Malts (Scotland and Ireland)but can't afford it anymore... (Alembic is to blame for that!)
Sometimes I go buy a bottle and on my birthday I always get some botlles (filled of course!)Sometimes when i'm alone or encouraged by my friends I drink a tiny glass though, still love the taste! Hate the side affects!
I still have a vintage 1976 Edradour (May 14th 1976 is my birthday)
Distilled on May 10th 1976 Bottled June 15th, 1999 so 23 years old! Very nice but heavy, cask strength 53,1% vol. I'm trying to keep my dad away from that one!
