Patience my pet, patience
« on: October 01, 2006, 10:20:13 PM »
After a few years of not using my tone of choice on band recordings, I finally won out. Doomtree is putting out a special holiday recording. I used my newly traded Elan 6 and my f1x-sf2-plx3402- epi ul212 with the di from the f1x and a mic on the cab. After raising the action a bit i was off and running with a true Alembic tone. No arguments, no fender comments, just great full bass. This release will be available as a download and limited edition colored, hand numbered vinyl 45's. Songs will be: White Christmas, Blue Christmas, Santa Clause (come straight to the ghetto),and a medly of Deck the Halls-Jingle Bells-Auld Lang Sine. I hope this marks and end to the can you get that sound like the guy from Greenday? exchanges. Happy holidays!

Congratulations~

Nothing like a bit of perserverance.  I find that whining and idle threats are often helpful as well.

Have fun~
