I am restoring an 81 Camaro. Check the link for the current pics of my new engine I'm building. It's a 327 bored .060 over to 336 with ALL the high performance goodies. It is around 400 horse power After all, when you own an Alembic, that quality flows over to the rest of your life

That's great Paul. Are you going to be able to have it dyno tested? I had almost forgotten what a carburetor looks like. What a project. I'd like to see pictures of the progress. How's the body looking?

I assume with the bucks you dropped on the roller rockers that you have a roller cam too?

The roller rockers were not that much money, and no, I don't have a roller cam. I would like to get the car dyno tested when it's done to see what the rear wheel hp is.

The body is in pretty good shape except for a small dent on one fender from a tree branch. The car has only 47,000 miles on it and it's an 81. I can post some pics to the site listed above. Check for them in a day or so.

I really love working on cars. This one is keeping me busy! There may have been a lot of them made, but there are very few left for parts and there are even fewer ne body parts for it.....Tomorrow I'll drop in the distributor, weld the oil pump pickup and put on the pan

Way to go paul. I'm starting off restoring my '72 MG midget with my son ('90 model). we drove down to Derby last week to collect a 2nd hand bodyshell to replace the wreck that's not left my garage in over ten years. Before I put it away I had just had the engine rebuilt to stage III. Big inlets/outlet valves, Overbored to 1298 (from 1275), 270 profile cam, roller rockers etc. When we've got the body into shape and painted, we're replacing the lever arm shocks with koni adjustables. Once the whole car has been sorted we might think about the classic race series that passes through scotland every once in a while.
Saw 'Pimp my ride' last week. Looks like it takes them about a week to sort a car. we're expecting to take a couple............of years.
Lets see some pics of the Camaro. If I get a chance I'll get some of the old MG and the replacement shell.

Here's a pic of the 'new' shell the day I picked it up. needs new rear wings and a little welding in the drivers floorpan once we've cleaned the old paint off.

You are way ahead of me Graeme! I am still driving mine. I bought it to restore, but I'm having so much fun driving it. That's why the engine in the pictures is on my porch and not between the fenders - yet;)
