CD release

Dear all,

Just a quick plug for the new album, Testify, from my band, Haramb?. This is scheduled for release through Universal in April, but in the meantime you can pick up a copy for the bargain price of ?8.99 from our myspace site: www.myspace.com/harambe

Features 12 tracks of original funk and soul, and the gearheads among you can play 'spot the Alembic' as you listen - most of the basswork was done on a trusty old Stingray, but there are a couple of tracks where only Alembic would do, so the SC deluxe makes a few appearances on there . . .

All the best,

Karl

Received the CD today so I've only managed one listen so far. It's EXCELLENT!!!!!!  Alot of Level 42 and Jamiroquai influences plus alot of jazz funk. It's a real shame that the UK charts are obsessed with brit pop or whatever it's called these days. If this album was released in the early 80's, it would go straight to the top of the charts. I'm going to spend a couple of lunchtimes under the headphones before I guess which tracks are Alembic. I've seen Harambe (wish I could figure out how to do accents) live and this album comes pretty close to showing the energy they put out.

To do an e with accent, hold down Alt and type 0233 on your ten-key number pad.  When you release Alt you have ?. There are tons of these (?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ? and on and on).

Nice trick Peter, thanks.  I've always gone to the character map and copied and pasted.

Karl, I just checked out your myspace site.  Man, that sounds great!  Congratulations.

When I'm bored, I go through combinations to find out what they do. I have attached what I've found so far (Many just repeat things you can do on the keyboard - I include neither those nor repeats) Hope you find them as useful as I have (and yes, Haramb? sounds great!)

Thanks for the kind words, guys, and to those of you who have bought the album.

For those in the US for whom the $/? exchange rate is a bit off-putting, we now have US online distribution via cd baby at www.cdbaby.com/harambe2. But it's selling fast, so there may be a couple of days' wait while CD Baby restock.

All the best,

Karl
& Haramb?
(by the way, I just use CTRL + ALT + e to get that accent! Although in some programs that gives me a Euro symbol, so Peter's method is more reliable!)

Which character you get will depend on what typeface (font) you are using (The extended character sets don't all match up).
