Piccolo 5string lefty solo

Excellent playing. I don't know much about piccolo basses but I have an unused musicman sterling sitting around the house unused virtually since I reverted to Alembic. Thats a regular 34 inch scale bass could I use that as a piccolo bass?
If so what strings do I need and what tuning?

Check this thread for your reference.
 
In this thread, Mica says that saddles should be replaced and reslotted for narrower strings. But if you use Musicman for your piccolo bass, I think the saddles need not be replaced because it can be adjusted individually. If you try it, please report about it.
