Danno:
I've been using Accugroove cabs for more than a year now. I've got an El Whappo, Jr, 2 Tri-112's and a Tri115L. I really love them all! I hate to say the best when it comes to tone (unless, of course I am talking about an Alembic!) That said, IMHO Accugroove cabs are the most musical I have ever played. Accugroove's design philosophy is to produce a relatively flat signal which can then be tweaked by the player using his/her bass, pre-amp and other outboard devices. In practical terms, that means that they don't scoop the mids for you (like many other cabs makers do) or add energy at around 200Hz (another common trick used by other makers). Consequently, I suppose I would say that Accugroove cabs sound like my Alembics, only louder
My primary gigging cab is the EW, Jr. I love it! It is relatively portable, weighing in at 70 lbs, and it can handle just about any gig you could throw at it. I play 5 string, and it handles my B with ease. Tone for days! I do most of my gigging in Philadelphia and sometimes NYC, and there are a lot of load-ins that feature one or two flights of stairs! In that situation I will sometimes use 2 Tri 112L's stacked. Each 112L cab weighs only 38 lbs, and my back thanks me. The Tri 112 uses the same driver that Accugroove uses for the 12 subwoofer on the EW, Jr, so 2 112L's sound pretty similar to the EW, with perhaps a tad more low end. You can't go wrong either way!
