Refilling ink cartridges ( what a dumb thing to do)
« on: June 16, 2007, 06:00:51 PM »
While typing up a song list to print, El printer says I need a refill. I had the color cartridges, but no black. So I decided to refill the existing one (have done it before) but this time the injector had such a good seal that when I pulled it out, ink sprayed all over the wall and on my series I. Luckily it wiped off easily, but my strap was not as lucky. It's my favorite. I have had it for 30 years and it's only been on my Alembic. I guess it's time to buy her a new one.

maybe you should just open a few color cartridges and give it the tie-dye look.

Sorry about the strap...

I say use the strap the way it is.

I have a leather strap that my parents gave to me on my 14th B-day (1976). All the cuts, stains, nicks, scratches, pin holes.....make it all the more meaningful to me. There's a story behind everyone which adds character and personality to the strap.
