Thanks for the concern. The worst damage I've heard about so far is a Safeway supermarket in Berkeley that had a couple of large windows shatter and spray the checkout stands with broken glass. Fortunately, at 4:42 a.m., there was no one shopping or there would have been some injuries. 4.2 - 4.5 isn't all that big - the 1989 Loma Prieta (world series) quake was 7.2. However, in the Montclair hills, where I live over the Hayward fault, it was stronger than anywhere else in the Bay Area.
