Happy Birthday Ken!
« on: March 25, 2009, 04:09:42 AM »
Many happy returns and may your tone be pure and bell-like all of your days. One bass to rule them all!

The 14th of the new year or if you like the 8th day of April in the Shire reckoning but in Gondor the new year will always begin on The 25th of March when Sauron fell and when the eagles brought you out of the fire to the King.

Thanks to Sam (Bracheen) for starting this little diddy along.
He the true innovator, I a mere nudger, wink, wink.

Now that's a birthday greeting!  All I can add to what my esteemed colleague said is Happy Birthday Ken.

Thanks, everyone!

Danno, and Sam, good sleuthing on the date! I'll have you know that as I write this, I just set aside Gwathnar from a good workout, and have picked up the Barracuda bass to annoy the neighbors.

(Hey Bill, if you can't hear me yet, let me know...I can always get louder!!)

The Tolkien research was all Danno.  Whilst I did read the books and see the movies I still get the Ents confused with the Knights Who Say Ni.

Somehow I don't think shrubbery would satisfy an Ent.

The knights no longer say ni.  They now say icky icky icky.

Hope it was a good one, Ken.  Mine and Hugh Hefner's comes up in two weeks.

With Hugh as old as he is, it might be more than two weeks before ... oh, you meant birthdays, sorry.
