at 0:48 you can hear him talk about his prototype bass distortion pedal.

Some of you guys who like distortion on your basses may be interested in what it does.

What it does? You have a rig producing this great sound, then you add a box that distorts everything.

Cool video.  I'll share a pic or two.  This is from a solo show.  Was very cool, Tal W., Steve Bailey, Oteil all came out and jammed.  Along with Vic's kids, and of course JD Blair on drums, one of the best.  Interestingly, Steve was playing what I believe was the first ever six string bass?  Some kind of historic instrument, was it a Jackson/Fodera?  Can't remember the details now....

The pictures lose something in the compression (kind of like music.)

The above and this obviously from SMV.

I have a couple decent videos too.  What's the best way to share?  Create a youtube account and link to it?  Probably...

adriaan, I'm with you on that, I'm not a fan of distortion on bass.  But I know there are a few here on the forum who do add some to their sound.

What were those small guitar combos that Stanley was using?  It says on Stans site that he has a Fender twin but those amps on stage look too small to be twins.  I loved the sound of Marcus's bass though, it was so smooth and warm.  He's really got his sound sorted out nicely.
