I know this has come up before but I couldn' find the original thread but I've been using a great site box.net that allows to save and share if you like MP3's or any other file for that matter.
One of my original tunes
They give you 1 gig for free and you can upgrade to more if you like but who needs that much sapce.
Worth a look anyway.

Olie; what are you using for those midi new age sounds? I really love that stuff; the way you used those sounds to end the tune was really cool!

And thanks for the box.net suggestion! This looks like it would work great for club members sharing files with each other. So far I haven't seen any mention of bandwidth limitations.

Thanks Dave, that was done with some VST instruments that came with Cubase 4. Cubase comes with several included, Halion, Mystic, Prologue and some others I can't recall. It also includes some great midi plugins that allow you to create complete chords and assign them to one key. And then you can actually arpeggiate them. Which is great considering my piano skills are limited at best.
The effects on the bass are from my BassPod Live although Cubase has the same effects included, I just haven??t played with them much. YET. ??

I??ve been using Box.net for a while Jennie Riddle is who turned me on to it. That??s how the band learned new songs and got the charts and mp3??s especially when she was out of town. I haven??t occurred nay band width problems as of yet, but then again I don??t see me getting a lot of activity. Even if they do it??s FREE.

Nice Olie! Are those sounds Dave mentioned from Hypersonic? I know from other posts you are a Cubase user (me too). There are so many great VST's to play with for accompaniment. I like the pans and of course the real time playing!

Most definitely thanks for the great file share solution. Clean, simple and their player streamed the song without one break in time.

That's kinda beyond me at the moment. I looked at my Cubase LE, which I can't use very well anyway, and it doesn't have the ones you mentioned. And if it did, I wouldn't know what to do with them. Do you trigger the VST instruments with your keyboard? Can they be triggered with a computer keyboard? Just curious. I'm still learning how to play bass. Programming VST stuff doesn't seem like something I'm going to be learning how to do anytime soon. Perhaps what I need is a keyboard player.

There several ways to write out midi... I use a keyboard and wind (Yamaha WX5) controller to trigger the VST. Keyboard is probably the most common and readily available at reasonable prices. You can also write a midi line using the mouse and you then move it into timing position on the midi track (a lot more time consuming when written manually). Cubase LE has a limited selection of included VST's as does Cubase version 3 that I use. Hope that helps... whenever you're ready I can do a quick tutorial of my limited knowledge on it.

I do use a keyboard but I also write the midi in with the midi editor. I am no expert by any means. It's actually pretty easy though once you play around with it a bit.
You can also do what they call step input but I don't Cubase LE has that available. Step input is great for drum tracks.

I have some PDF manuals for Cubase LE and the VST instruments I can send you if you like Dave.

Art I just checked and all the sounds on that track are done with Halion One. It happens to be the best VST included with Cubase, IMO anyway. I don't know if Cubase 3 has Halion it came with 4.5 which I have. I've been thinking of upgrading to version 5 but I'm just now comfortable 4. LOL

I did some checking and they do have bandwith limits and fils size limits for the free account but they're pretty big.

Total Space 1 gig
Max File size 25 mg
Allowed bandwidth per month 10 gig

Pretty good considering it is free.
