I have always loved this intro lick and this was from 1968, this band was way ahead of there time with their type of fusion

I liked the first album (1968) and Twelve Dreams of Dr Sardonicus (1970) was a favorite ;)

My friends and I had these albums and loved 'em.  Twelve Dreams was an amazing album.

I saw Spirit at the Hollywood Palladium around 1971 or 72. Also on the bill was Dan Hicks, and It's a Beautiful Day...

Yeah I use to love watching the drummer with the Bass drums up on the stands playing them with mallets, it was way cool back in the day,Twelve dreams was an awesome album of so many  musical passages of like pure concept at it's rawest form
