Google's own Chrome browser is supposed to be perfect for Google's own YouTube website.

I have no issues with YouTube on Firefox 3.5.1. I do however have problems with Myspace as nothing with Flash works for me there.

Keith; I think I have read that it is possible that two installations of the Flash add-on might be installed in your Firefox, one being an older version that was never uninstalled.  This might be my problem as well, although the fact that I have the same problems on IE8 suggests otherwise.  I don't know what to tell you to do to check your installation, but I have found it on the firefox site before.  But I never could make sense of it when I tried following the directions and looking at my own installation.  That's my fuzzy recollection anyway.  Try searching the firefox forum.

I have recently come across this site that is trying to improve the internet bandwidth across the USA. We are falling way behind the rest of the world !  http://speedmatters.org

Opera (9.63) browser here.
youtube works perfect for me...I agree that the internet connection plays a role in speed more than the browser

I was experiencing issue #3...called tech help with wireless router company (Belkin) and they updated the version of their software to a more current and by golly it worked...youtube vids loaded fast and played without a hitch.

Dave,
Thanks for the suggestions. I've already been that route to no avail. Deleted all versions of Flash I could find along with Firefox and manually cleaned up the registry. I think it is something with Myspace as I was working fine until they did some updates on their end late last year.

1 GB isn't a ton of ram, but should be enough.  Is your hardrive almost full?  Is it a wireless connection?  Trying clearing out your Internet cache.

I have to say it's #3 for me, using Safari 3.0.4 & Firefox (only sparingly), but the prob might be my 500 MHz G4 with 1.5 GB SDRAM. HD vids seem to stutter alot.

I used to be a #1 - but recently (past several months)not all of the videos are buffering faster than they are playing.

Nothing on my side has changed - Windows XP (xtra pukey) Home Edition Service Pack 3 on a Sony Vaio with a Pentium 4. (Don't buy a Vaio - it was a big mistake).

Dave - May I ask why you are polling? Do you know something we don't?
