Help a Musician find a gig in your area?
« on: September 03, 2009, 04:03:14 PM »
Ok being we are in a state of depression, I feel that one of the best way we might be able to pin things down for some of the less fortunate is to help them locate a gigging Area, for example I live just outside downtown Columbia, South Carolina and for live performance it is not good, Charleston,Sc is a better place for work as a musician, including international members , I meani f someone might consider moving to the UK or Germany if the work is there , also if anyone can suggest a method to help others get gigs please post it, I have had 2 emails from members asking me if I knew of  any bands looking for Bass players so please ad all you can, list the internet/paper or site or good working area or any Idea's that might help

Great idea John. I'm sure we could all do with more gigs.

If there is someone in the Greater Portland area who wants my Halloween gig, it is up for grabs. Pays 100.00 free food, booze, and a place to stay. Good band, plays covers. Mostly blues and rock.
