Interesting Promo Ad
« on: October 17, 2009, 07:45:20 AM »
Just saw this ad on Ebay for an Alembic promo from 1975.
Carl Radle's Series I. Always one of my favorite players. Does anyone know of any recordings that he used this on?

This is a 'Bass Space' column from VINTAGE GUITAR magazine in the last few years about Carl's Alembic.  I don't believe it was an ad (Imagine that:  An untruthful auction on EBay ! ! ).

If there's any VINTAGE GUITAR subscribers here they could tell you what month/issue.  You maybe can find the article archived at the magazine website.

Radle (ANOTHER unfortunate drug casualty) was one of my great faves for music from that time.
The figure under the chorus of 'Bell Bottom Blues' is one of my favorite lines.

Thanks Joey,  I will take a look through that site. I loved how his lines would change slightly from verse to verse.

Dave,  thanks for fixing the link,  I seem to have lost track of how to do that.  I looked through the FAQ's and did not see anything there.  Maybe an update there for those of us who are somewhat computer challanged?

The entire Layla album is great from start to finish.  Great band; great songs.
