Did Alembic at one time offer a magnetized interchangeable fretted/fretless fretboard on one of their basses? The idea came up on a Chapman Stick forum I belong too and I kind of remember Alembic having made one a long time ago.

There are one or more previous threads about that bass. I think it was a Spoiler; and I think we saw it on Ebay.

That's it Elwood. So, the answer is no, Alembic did not offer this as an option; this was a modification done by others.
