Toggle switch hex nuts
« on: January 19, 2010, 09:56:03 AM »
Hi All,
Have any of you found a tool to loosen/tighten the tiny hex nuts on the toggle switches (besides the dreadful needle nose pliers) I haven't figured out the exact size of the nut yet but it will take a very deep socket.
Suggestions?

I once ordered a bunch of C&K switches similar to what we see from Alembic and found they also sold these very thin wrenches.  The one on the right exactly fits the knurled nuts...  (no jokes please)

A decent set of metric nut drivers (Craftsman, for example) are hollow down the center so they work great for mini-toggle nuts (which, BTW, are 8mm).

There's a complete list of adjustment tool sizes here. The mini toggle switches use a 5/16 hex nut. Look for a hollow shaft driver.
