Peter Steele was indeed a unique individual with a bass sound and technique of his own design .He seemed to love recording with Alembic bass guitars as stated in this old thread as well
Having a powerful singing voice and being a talented song writer poet within his genre stands out to me . I just recently stumbled on to his work in Type 0 Negative .
I have been enjoying studying his work which requires a certain appreciation of such genres . I have found them to have put on a good show with never a dull moment. I recently got connected with Type O Negative's ex drummer on FB .
