Big doin's

Well, I can't tell family about this; that's my son's call.  But I gotta tell someone!  So you guys are it.  Num. 1 Son started dating a girl when they were 15; married her when they were 23.  Very big deal, her daddy dropped somewhere ~$250K-$500K for the wedding.  She left him for a guy at work 1.5 years later; much psychic damage, much newly-single-stupid behavior. Last year he reconnectd with a chick from college, and has, of late, been living w/her in Sacramento. Tonight (7 years post-dump) he calls at 23:35 CST; Did I wake you guys ?
Not me.
Then you better wake her up - we're in Vegas, and we're waiting for the limo to take us to the Little Chapel of Love!
So best wishes to Ryan & Jen, another beer for the happy dad, and DAMN it's hard not calling my folks, his brothers, aunts, uncles, etc.

Peter, the proud father of the groom.

Peter:

Congrats!  By the way, a $250K-$500K wedding?  Did every guest receive an Alembic as a party favor?  Heck, my wedding cost an EXTREMELY small fraction of that ... and we had JGB as the wedding band!  lol

Thanks, All. Yeah, Bill, it was way over the top (alas, a standard wedding band, though).  And he did it again 6 months later for her sister.
