i was watching a couple videos of JPJ's new band Them Crooked Vultures and saw the craziest bass. the best way i can describe it is a slide bass? if anyone knows anything on this that'd be awesome, i'm posting the video with the bass below, just skip the intro of the guy talking

It doesn't look like a bass to me. I believe it's a Melobar.

HOLY CRAP!!! My new favorite band!!! Watch some of the other posts (JPJ is playing an 8 string on Elephant)... it's where I would imagine Zeppelin would be today if Bonzo were still here.

Mike, I KNOW!!!!! i love this band. as soon as i found out that John Paul Jones was going to be in a band with Dave Grohl form Foo Fighters and Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age were forming a band i KNEW it would be amazing and had to check it out, and i agree that this is where i'd see Zeppelin at right now if Bonzo were still here
thanks for the info Bill, it just looked crazy with the whole Kaos pad on it like the one Matt Bellamy of Muse has on most of his guitars(can be heard/seen here along with a great solo and bass playing
