Happy Birthday Jerry!!!!! So missed 15 years later it still leaves a big hole in my heart only music can fill. The next 9 days are like Lent or Ramadan to me, time spent reflecting, remembering, and celebrating the life of Jerry Garcia and the wonderful music  that is his legacy. I am truly blessed to have been turned on to and have seen Jerry and The Grateful Dead. .......Bear

There's a Facebook group called JerryWeek, that I went to this morning and liked. The Dead and Jerry gave me a sense of freedom and expression like no other band, and a renewed interest in traditional American music forms and exposure to diversity in styles that still informs my listening range today.
I miss you, Jerry
