I gave lots of cool gifts, but the best I got was a new iPod 160GB. Nice, and plenty useful (my 2-yr old 60GB is nearly full and the battery's gone flat), but not nearly as cool as the stuff the Flax-Meister got!

Happy Merry to All!

Well, the occasion coincided with our annual Early Christmas Dinner, so I guess it qualifies -I got a nice automatic for my 10th anniversary at the company. Not the shooting kind of automatic, but an Oris Big Crown Pointer Date.

NLP; when I read Jeff's post, I put two and two together and just had to run a search!

What is NLP if it is not neuro-linguistic programming?

Well, From Mrs j, i got the eagles new album and Stanley's new album, plus, she got me Jools Holland's Autobiography. My mum got me Guy Pratt's autobiography, 'My bass and other animals' which is very entertaining and makes me sad I missed his standup show at the edinburgh festival last summer.
My brother-in-Law bought me a selection box of Black Isle brewery ales which I'm looking forward to sampling soon.

My mom gave me the Grateful Dead Gear book, and framed the Tiger poster that I have owned for years. Students gave me a coffee maker for my classroom.

Graeme, browsing the shelves at one of my favourite bookshops - which I just found out is closing (aaaarrrrrggggghhhhhh) - I noticed Jools mentioned on the cover of a book about Portmeirion for which he wrote the foreword.
