Just to be accurate, the man's name was Albert Hofmann.  It's amazing, looking back from the perspective of today, how a bicycle ride on April 19, 1943, begat the 60's as much as anything else did.

I am lucky to own a piece of blotter art commemorating the 60th anniversary of Dr. Hofmann's discovery of the psychoactive properties of LSD (five year after he first synthesized the substance) signed by the great chemist himself.  I'll try to get a good pic and post it here tonight or tomorrow.

He should be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.  I am a true admirer of his work.

Now thats what I call a loooong, strange, trip!

What direction would our reality would have gone if not for that little brush with destiny?  A grateful man, I am.  Goodbye Albert.

I still have some Felix the Cat taped to my first guitar  Ahh, Rosemont Horizon memories!
The only thing that stays the same is change.

While there are rumours that he thought that LSD could help longevity, he attributed his age to two raw eggs every morning with his muesli. I also read that he did take small amounts throughout his life, the last being within the last few years.
