hieronymous - very funky sounding bass, deep, clear and phat!!!
Lovely groove on both sound samples and very unique instrument with a unique voice.

Thanks! I really like the Activators. As someone mentioned in another thread, they sound great, not cold and clinical. I should point out that I used the Activators in both clips.  
 
Oh, and there's distorted bass doubling the synth line in rays of sound - that's the humbucker through a Budda Phat Bass distortion and an Electroharmonix Small Stone phaser.

i put them in yesterday. it has so much more roundness to it, it's not as spikey as it was before. thanks for everyone's help!

ive had a squier p-bass that was my workhorse for many years  I responded to a post earlier to you Rushfan.  I apologize; I thought I was giving sound advice to a 13 year old youngster.  I can see that you have been around for at least... 'many years', so you might be as old as me.  Take care.
