Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Made the apple and pumpkin pies last night, rum cake was first thing we did today. Turkey is in the oven along with the traditional Portuguese stuffing. The rest of the family will be here in a couple of hours.

Looking forward to this day of thanks and family. Hope everyone can enjoy some of the same.

I gave thanks today with a close friend here in Asheville. And I give thanks for every precious moment we share on this earth.

For those of you in countries other than the US, today was Thanksgiving Day here; a national holiday; a day we set aside just to give thanks.

I am thankful to all of you for this community.
I am thankful to everyone at Alembic for crafting my bass,
and for providing this space for us to be together.
And I am thankful for the amazing experience of being on this planet, on this day.

Laid out a great table this afternoon and the turkey soup is almost done simmering. I've been cooking off and on for the past 14 hours and I think I've had enough for the day. My Thanksgiving starts now when I get to take a break.
