Anyone remember these? Now that I am playing double bass again, I want to buy one but they do not seem to have a web-site; wonder if they are still in business.

you can get them used, and from what i have heard, walter still makes them (but with very long lead times - if you can even figure out how to reach the guy).

I bought one about a year ago off of a club member....

AWESOME little amp.

Uprights aside, WW's are also a great amp for summing the stereo signal of your Series instrument!

Here's my old 400w model. I only share this with you, my close friends, because you will understand and enjoy the special modification I coerced Walter into doing. (He swore never again so even I know it's a one-off.)
This is a mighty handy amp!

So, I take it each pickup has its own EQ section? I bet I could do something similar with the D-TAR Solstice preamp into a power amp. Hm, this is giving me ideas!

JimmyJ..I guess the mod is the 5 pin XLR jack plus the phase & mix switches.
I love the simplicity of such amps, I went back to rotaries after years of confusion with 12 band graphic EQ's, pre sets and God Know's whatelse

Yes, Walter tapped off +/- 15 volts already in the amp to power the bass. Channel-1 is the neck pickup, channel-2 the bridge pickup. The 1/4 jacks are TRS so they can be used as insert points between the bass and amp, or just as normal inputs with a mono 1/4 cable. It's a switching amp and so may not be the quietest, most hi-fi rig, but I've found it tremendously handy in many situations. Easy to carry too!

Well I think it looks funky and it suits your needs which is the most important part.
As I said about the graphic eq's, I bought a 300W Ashdown combo, bass, mid & treble rotaries although there are two extra frequency controls and sub harmonic(sort of subtle octivider) but a lot less than the amps I had in the past.
I once had a 22 band graphic EQ, why I had it I don't know, it was tone overkill really.
