Japan Earthquake

We've heard from our distributor Sleek Elite in Tokyo that he is safe. I'm hoping that our customers and friends in Japan are safe.

I know the news will show us the worst images, but the devastation looks massive along the coast.

Hi from Tokyo.

All my family are safe.
We don't know all about the damage at this time, almost in Tokyo are safe (only traffic stop and confusion) but there is big damage by Tunami in Sendai (300km north from Tokyo).

The footage on the news channels are devastating, we are at the mercy of mother nature.
It is reported that one of the nuclear plants is not so safe..I hope for all the japanese people that nothing else escalates.

Glad to hear you and your family are holding up. The devastation is tragic. I am watching the news now for Oregon, California, and Washington. It would appear those coastal states might get some serious wave strikes.

Thank you for your kind words.

Now I'm at home.
It's just like passed through the hurricane in my house.
All my Alembic basses are still there on the stand, but I can't take it in my hand.
I will check tomorrow. (My Ovation Gtr. is under hardcases, Oh !)

The mortality victims of tunami are numbered over 300, and the missing are over 500 now.
These numbers will be increase after dawn.

My thoughts are with you.  I can't imagine how awful things must be there.  Thank goodness for the small mercy that your Alembics appear okay, and more importantly, that you and your family are well.

My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone over there as well. One of my best friends lives in Tokyo but we've heard he's ok.

Glad to hear you're o.k. Eiji.  Hopefully the toll on life and property will be less than feared.  Having lived through the Loma Prieta Quake in '89 (which appears to be a slight rumble in comparison), I know how these things bring a different perspective than the everyday hustle and bustle of life.  One realizes what's really important.  My heart goes out to all the people who lost love ones, or have been, or will be, displaced.

From Shizuoka Japan,

Thank you very much for everyone's concern. The eathquake at my home town was small so there was nothing serious damage around me, my family and Alembics.
