Wow that bass has very narrow string spacing. Did you use fingers or a pick on it?

Used a pic. The drummer is Lou Gramms nephew and the son of drummer Ben Gramm. Guitarist is very talented and very wealthy.  This was before metro sexual body waxing.

My First Band. 1977 We called ourselves Pain. Couldn't really play a whole song. But we thought we sounded good. Pre-bass days, I'm In the back with the Ibanez V, age13. Bill is the other guitar player 12 or 13. Brent his brother (drummer) age10 or 11.

Coiled cords . . . . KUSTOM PA cabs . . . . I remember you would rule the world if you had a Shure VocalMaster head and a pair of Altec Voice of the Theaters.  Moving the B3 from place to place (groan . . . . ).  The band descending on Denny's or IHOP or Waffle House after the gig with tonight's catch . . . . I miss the fun I had in those way simpler times, would give anything if it were still that way.

I hear ya Joey.  My current band was preparing to play an outdoor festival here in Knoxville.  The money wasn't going to be great, but we have been giving all the money to the members who have lower paying jobs anyway.  Then we found out that the PAY was actually the COST of participating in the festival.  Let's see... haul all our shit downtown (where there is little to no parking), hang around in the heat of the day waiting for our turn to play, no sound check, hang around the rest of the evening (once you're there you're trapped), get treated like a nuisance by the promoter... and PAY for the privilege???  Nah, I'll stay home and have a beer.

OK, I gotta guess, Mike - the guy in the tiger-print tights was the drummer, right?

I'm happy that in the 80's I was too young for band pictures. :-D

Well, I have too look if I find the picure of my band when we were standing on a heap of grit which looked pretty awkward. At least I have a print of it somewhere...

Today I found a video on youtube from my first USA tour in 1992 with the reggae artiste Pato Banton. The gig is Skippers Smoke house in Tampa Florida
On that tour I was playing a white casio Midi guitar that I replaced for a Fender Strat Ultra on the second leg of the tour which was the west coast of the USA.

I'm on the left hand side of the video and the music starts about 2 mins in which is after the interview with Pato.
