It's interesting when. you can hear who's song it is, even though for a long time these pairings sort of globally cover each other, until the inevitable split comes along.
The White Album is full of songs that obviously were only-Lennon or only-McCartney, even though they were all credited to them both. Somehow I just don't imagine John getting serious about the bridge in 'Rocky Raccoon', nor Paul chiming in a high harmony part in 'Everybody's Got Something to Hide', you get the idea.
Lots of Eagles where it's obviously mostly Henley or mostly Frey. Their solo records are almost as 180 degrees apart as 'Ram' and 'Working Class Hero'.
Listen to any band long enough, and as time passes and the revolving door begins you see this. There's certainly Floyd with Roger Waters and without, or even without Sid Barrett. And on and on . . . . and of course, the records they made before they quit (drinking, smoking, shooting, snorting, and so on) and after rehab !
The only one that's truly important? Lettuce and Tomato over Bacon ! Preferably on some really nice homemade bread. And certainly Mayo over Miracle Whip.
And Oh Yes, DEFINITELY Emma Peel over Tara King.
