A lot of basses
« on: September 18, 2011, 01:26:13 PM »
Whenever I feel like I'm starting to accumulate too many guitars and basses, I look at the following collection to reassure myself that I'm not that excessive:

bass collection

By the way, I spotted six Alembics in this pile [edit: just looked again and counted eight]...and I note that most of them were placed lovingly in the front for the photographs.

Who here in the Alembic Club has the most guitars and basses?  Just curious.

wow, that's quite a collection

I only have 2 Alembic basses, an Essence 4 and a MK Sig., along with a Carvin LB76WP.

I also have a Lil' Darling and a Studio Further with a custom Spectrum Baritone on order.

I'd take Keavin's post with a grain of salt (and a sense of humor).  I believe that's a photo from the Chicago Alembic gathering.   But, hey, you can't blame him for wishful thinking right?

Picture 1, Row 4:  The first bass looks like an Alembic but may be a Fernandez.  The third bass is the Persuader in picture 2.

Picture 2, Row 2:  Second bass looks possible.

Picture 2, Rows 4&5 squished together:  First bass Quilted Maple Mark King.  Second bass looks to be the same Fernandez as was in the first picture (the logo just doesn't look right, and other features look like the standard Fernandez copy from that period).

Picture 2, Row 6:  First bass Quilted Maple Persuader.

Picture 3:  Triple-O Mark King.  Flame Maple Persuader with Vector body.  Same Maple Mark King as in Picture 2.

Picture 4, Row 2:  Third bass may be the Fernandez again.

Picture 4, Row 5:  The Maple Persuader again.

Picture 4, Row 6:  Excel.

Picture 5:  N/A.

So; Quilted Maple Mark King Standard, Quilted Maple Persuader, Triple-O Mark King, Flame Maple Persuader Vector, Excel.

So I'm seeing 5 definite Alembics.
