Rig set up: amp for 2x10 and 1x15

I have seen several rigs that look mighty sweet on this site.  I plan on Mesa Powerhouse 2x10 and a 1x15.
 
What amp?  
Mesa M6 fathom/carbine does not seem to have separate channel controls. This worries me driving two cabinets with different speaker configs. Plus I don't need the tone controls if I get a F1-X.
 
QSC 2450 seems to have separate channel controls and several folks are running 2x10 and 1x15 with it.  
 
So my goal rig is:  
QSC 2450, F1-X (yes I did just bid on the ebay one that was also posted here), and the Powerhouse 2x10 and 1x15 as separate units.
 
Just thought I would see if folks thought my approach was sound. I have a 4 string Persuader, just to fill in the blank spots.

Best for Mesa cabs is a Mesa Amp :-)
 
I use a Strategy 400 (in combination with a Bass 400) It's a great stereo tube power amp and would be perfect in combination with a F1-X I guess.  
Downside would be (compared to QSC) It's heavy (about 30 KG) it gets serious hot (12 x 6L6) you'll have to replace all those tubes every +/- 5 years and it's big (4 hu)
Reward for all this is: Tone, tons of it :-)

If you can, listen to a bunch of amps to see which ones color your sound the way you want.  Or, if you don't want the pwoer amp to change the sound, get a Yamaha (which has the added advantage of being absolutely bulletproof).

I think it's a great way to go. I have been thinking of switching from my current amp to the same model for the sake of weight. I run a Hughes and Kettner Bass 600. It's one of the older ones. SF-2. Power and tuner. I like having the tube in the HK. Great tone. But I leave the amp so neutral I think it would sound close enough to the QVC, and I could shed 20+ lbs. For speakers I run 4-10's Warwick pro and a 12 Aguilar.
  Part of the reason I keep the amp neutral is the SII I play, and the SF-2. I am a huge fan of the SF-2.
  I would like to hear what you think if you go this way.

I own  a Mesa Road Ready Cab 4X10 and two Mesa Road Ready 2X10 cabs  ,all loaded with EV's.ILOVE THEM ! I like to power them with one of my two Crest power amps (VS900 & FA901)  OR my old TRUSTY Yamaha P2200 amps (long out of production)  I have a few different combinations in the signal path to  feed the Amps. My favorite is Series I Bass to DS5R power supply in stereo to SF-2 Super Filter to F-2B and then to power amps , All in stereo full range. phat and articulate.  I like that. Sometimes I throw in an 18 to give it the shakes.

I have a 2x10/1x15 rig that's may be an option for you. Have you looked at the MarkBass line.

Yes Mark Bass worth a try.  Here is my stuff which I mix and match.  The mixer is not anything to do with my sound - just another job I have to do! There is an EBS 2x10 not shown.  The EBS cabs are a bit heavy these days at 26 and 28 kg but a great sound with the HD350 whereas the Markbass stuff comes in at 17 and 18.5 kg.  The Markbass combo is nice on it's own. The HD 350 is great with the Markbass 15. Mesa is wonderful gear(good enough for Paul McCartney) but hugely heavy.  They don't even put the weights in their descriptions. Glynn

For what it's worth -
I push a Hartke 2 x 10 and Mesa 1 x 15 with an old GK800RB. It's bi-amped and clean.

I like the old GK gear such as the 800RB  & 400RB . I have used these often and they have never let me down.  I like their sound as well . They are my other choice as rig components. I grab one of these when an integral compact rig is practical.

Agreed on the Mesas. I do have a RoadReady 2x10 and I have to think A LOT OF TIMES before moving it out of my studio. I had me built a couple custom 2x10's which are lighter, although not so clear-voiced. I don't want to swap speakers, tho, so for medium/small venues I end up bringing one or two of the custom made 2x10s (one is based on an Eden cab, the other on an SWR a little bit smaller), and the beater Hartke HA2000, and that solves it. For smaller venues, it's the GK 200MB with -or without- an external, Eden loaded 1x10.  
 
For bigger venues, I've had the luck to be able to ask for backline amplification. In those cases i bring a 4spc rack with my Yamaha PB-1 preamp, DBX 163x compressor, and a Digitech RDS delay unit I set up for chorus, and wireless if needed. The Preamp has a built-in, regulable XLR DI out to the board, and I go out of the jack out to whatever I get for backline (sometimes a hit, sometimes a miss) and ask, if needed, for a little bass on the sidefills. But for those larger shows/venues I find almost preferable that, to lugging around the heavy boxes, I tend to use them each time less, only at my studio if I'm rehearsing or stuff...

Oh, and I forgot... I've used my QSC GX5 amp with my rack rig, with either the 1x15 + 2x10 or the 4x10 + 2x10 configuration, and it has worked quite fine.. it's not expensive, and has plenty of options of input and output formats. I'd recommend one of those without a doubt!.
