Not an Alembic story, but funny...
« on: July 31, 2012, 09:17:46 PM »
Last Saturday, I was playing a church festival where the band had been asked to keep our volume in check during the 4:30 to 5:15 afternoon Mass.  About halfway through that time slot, the sound guy came rushing up during a song, motioning unintelligibly.  We were near finished, so we wrapped up -- only to be told our lead singer's wireless mic was transmitting on the same channel as was the priest's who was giving the mass.  We had been entertaining the faithful with Pink and Marvin Gaye since our set break.  No hard feelings, and the priest came by after mass to compliment us.

In the name of the father, let's get it on.  Too funny.

Too funny! It probably looked like a scene from Sister Act!

In fact, the Pink song was Get this Party Started and the Gaye tune was Heard it through the Grapevine.  At least the Pink song wasn't U and ur hand...
