Seal with an Alembic Bassist

Don't know if this has already been posted, and don't know who the bass player is but he's wielding a quilted maple SII.

Small body at that!  Nice tune too; I like the overall sound.

Thanks for the edit, Dave. When I first posted it the link worked but the YouTube example kept ending the song prematurely. When I edited it with a re-post of the link, the hyperlink feature disappeared.

Given a choice, I always prefer instrumentals. But there's something about Seal's gravelly-yet-clear voice, thought-provoking lyrics (usually), and his anthemic hooks and chord progressions that really resonate with me.

Also on YouTube I've bookmarked about 5 or 6 different live versions of Crazy (including one with Flea on an Ovation ABG, Tony Levin on a Music Man and an unknown guy playing a subterranean-sounding Wal) and every version sends chills down my spine.

Sam; I searched for quite a while, and my guess, and it's just a guess, is John McKenzie.  McKenzie did play for Seal at some point, and it kinda looks like him; but I don't know if he ever played an Alembic.

Shows how long I've been wallowing in the underground and shunning radio, but that is literally the first time I've actually heard Seal...I knew who he was, but never heard him...good tune and a good band, thanks!
