Sad news indeed. My 1st concert was Ten Years After's first farewell tour. Alvin was amazing!

Moore was last summer, so all 3 gone within a year.

Hopefully the musical seeds they've sown will inspire others to continue traveling down the trails they blazed.

Gee whiz. I didn't know about Montrose passing, too.

It was guitar players such as these three that made me want to play bass as much as any one bass player out there. Saw Montrose about thirty years ago open for Robin Trower at the Longhorn Ballroom in Dallas. Absolutely tore the place up.

We went to see the Woodstock movie at a drive-in theater, I'm guessing in the spring of '72, and my recollection is that Alvin Lee was the highlight of that night; I loved watching that performance of Going Home. I also loved his I'd Love to Change the World. Lee was a big early influence for me, and a part of the soundtrack of that time.

Listening to the Watt album now...boy I wish I could have seen him, especially with his new album out. Saw Leo, Ric and Chick with Joe Gooch at the 40th Anniversary of Woodstock. Close but still not the same.

I don't know why, but I always think of 'Boom, Boom, Out Go the Lights' when I remember Alvin Lee and Ten Years After. It was always a ball to play in the clubs . . .
