A bad, bad day
« on: April 29, 2013, 04:46:18 PM »
For the last 14 years we've shared our lives with Sedona, a Golden Retreiver and the Best Pup in the World.  But 14 is a long, long time in Golden years, and today we had to let her pain stop.  Feeling pretty empty right now......

Wow! 14 years, you and Sedona must have treated each other right. My condolences on the loss of your friend I have no doubt a smile will be on your face each and every time your thoughts are with Sedona with all the memories that you shared.
Peace

Peter:

My condolences for your loss.  We went through it with our cat a few years ago.  Very upsetting, but she had cancer and was in obvious pain.  We waited a couple of years before gettng another cat, but we are now thoroughly enjoying Cattabis Indica, aka Indy.

Peter,
As you know the companionship of a furry friend is unmatched on a human level. Your loss is huge and the emptiness within you is vast.
Allow yourself to grieve and honor Sedona and the vast emptiness WILL start to shrink.

My most sincere condolences.  We just lost our Greyhound of >13 years.  It's not easy.
I used to think I was indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.

After owning 3 dogs I called it a day...the trauma was too much..they are great buddies who never let you down, make you smile and sometimes leave a present in the kitchen because you forgot to take them out after you had too much beer when you got in from the pub lol...but I always forgave them 'cos it was my fault.
My condolences to you cozmik

Peter, my condolences to you. Our animal companions show their love by making a special kind of music just for us. May you carry Sedona's tune forever.

I know the loss of a family member like that. You know it's coming some day, but that never makes it easier. 14 years is a pretty good run,  but that's small consolation. Any pictures to share with us?
