Counter balancing neck heavy basses?

I found this on line today, a method for making a counter balance for neck heavy basses. Yes it will add more weight to your shoulders and back but it may help make someone's uncomfortable bass more manageable.

That's pretty ingenious! Do you have a problem with neck dive on your SII Europa?

My Distillate wants to sit level at 3:00 and I just got used to playing it like that...actually turns out to be a way punchier pick attack, and looks more badass...Tony

My Elan 4 wants to sit at that level too and it feels better worn a little lower than my five string basses.
