That must have been a huge effort.
I really appreciate the work that you did
and I will save that link so when it's time to change
strings I may also change brands/type

That is very interesting. They sound more differant than I thought they would. If only D'addario strings were on there, then I could see how they compare to what I use.

Thanks so much!

It would seem to me that this valuable link should serve as a guide and not the final arbiter for your own personal choices.  How your both fingers/pick and playing style impact the sounds of various strings cannot be duplicated in that link on any given bass.  May I suggest that you speak to a reputable guitar/bass tech, who can give you some guidance.  Ultimately, you will probably need to try different sets and gauges in the field to see the results you get.  With all of the basses I have, I use different strings by both brand and gauge, as well as  round, half round and flat varieties.  There is no substitute for hard work.  Just my 2 cents, I wish it was easier.  What seems to work for Phil Lesh may not be a good fit for you.

For everyone who listen these samples, I wanted to know, which strings he prefers ? What are his feelings ?

That why I wrote this topic.
