Oh dear, Terry. Hope you are on the mend, and do mind your doc's orders for R&R, that's usually the hardest one to comply with!

That was worth a double-post Slawie. I have also heard the above suggestions, that trying to play, and listening to music hastens recovery.

Sorry to hear about this Terry, get plenty of rest.My brother had a minor stroke several years ago and was back behind his drums in what seemed like no time and is absolutely fine now.I know such things vary from person to person but keep your chin up and take it easy.

Best Wishes from snowy Manchester,

That's bad news, Terry, sorry to hear it. Don't lose faith in your ability to heal.  It can take time but you'll get it all back!

Terry, you hang in there brother, will be thinking of you.  Hey, what the hell, now you've got a good excuse to play with a pick !!  I recommend Fender Heavy 355's, (the big, manly-man triangles).  Thank God you got a wake-up call.  By the time you're good to go again, the warmer weather will be back, and it'll be time to fire up the FireBlade.

All the Best,

Best wishes, Terry.  The guy who taught me my first chords & a box scale (and how to make chili) went through this a few years back; he's playing fine now - no lingering effects.  Hope the same for you.

Terry,
Sorry to hear about your situation. Hoping for a speedy recovery. I think as soon as you are up for it you should try to play some. While your playing  might not meet your expectations it will be helping to rebuild the connections needed for coordination. Just don't over do it to the point you get frustrated.
