Does anyone know who would have been playing with Jeff Lorber from 1984 - 1989?

I'm trying to determine who was touring with him during this time.

He played the Maintenance Shop in Ames, I was either sound man or manager/tech director .  The band's truck had broken down and we assembled gear (amps and drums).  I provided tha bass amp.  The bass player was interested in buying my speaker cabinet, but we couldn't agree on terms.  He signed the cab, but it's been scuffed off.

All I can remember is that he as someone who was relatively famous.

Was it Gerald Albright (might have gone by Joe back then)? There is a 1985 American Bandstand interview of Jeff Lorber where you can see the bass player very well.

Gerald Albright is also a bass player and has quite a few recording credits on bass.

Darrell,
Gerald Albright also plays bass. It was somewhere in this time frame while he was in the Patrice Rushen band on sax that he took over bass when the then current bass player left mid-tour. It is clearly him in the video clip which was also from this same  period. If you look up his biography he also lists that he is a bassist in addition to sax.

In the American Bandstand video, the guitarist is Paul Pesco, who is the guitarist and musical director for Daryl Hall (at least on Live From Daryl's House on the Palladia Channel).
