Account dropping out

Hello Moderators,  
 
It seems every couple of weeks I have to re-register my account. I was just wondering if there is anything I should do that would help prevent my account from randomly dropping out.

There isn't much you can do, unfortunately, until the conversion to a new forum platform is complete. The user names have been restored.
 
For the forum conversion, we are looking at just a couple more weeks to fine-tune the process, so the actual transition can be done swiftly. It won't be long now!

I'll add my Thanks to the mods here... that Gremlin has my number. I get the dreaded Profile Does Not Exist tag at least once a month, (including this weekend's round) and it's completely unpredictable.
 
I love my time here... it's a fascinating little corner of the internet. First page I look at in the morning.

+1 on having to re-register a few times.
 
The last time this happened my post number was reset to 1.
 
Fortunately, it's pretty easy re-register and, IMO, small price to pay for all of the technical advice, information and humor available here.

I had this problem for the first time a week or so ago. I emailed Mica for help and thought she had reset my account but discovered the email had bounced back as undeliverable. When I tried to respond to this thread yesterday I got the Profile Does Not Exist tag again. If this message posts it is because the account reset itself again.  
 
Meanwhile... thanks for the clarification and hope the glitch is fixed soon!
