Wolf; the calendar at the Bistro has a link for Easy Wind, but the band that the link points to at EasyWindBand.com doesn't look like your band.  Looks like they're in the San Diego area.

David , yes it appears that the webmaster of " The Bistro" made that mistake. We are aware of that other Band in San Diego who took and  adopted the name " Easy Wind" about 6 months after we did .____ The facebook link that I posted directs to my band;   https://www.facebook.com/TheEasyWind/?ref=aymt_homepage_panel

We also have this site;  http://www.epicdimensions.com/Easy_Wind.shtml  This link can also be found on our facebook page

We had a great gig at " The Bistro" and a good turnout ! Our new Drummer Kyle is working out swell . He is a fan of the playing style the ex "Further" drummer Joe Russo .

I played my newly upgraded Alembic " Essence"

Looking good Wolf. ;)

If you don't mind the asking, how much did the sustain block affect the sound of your new-to-you Essence ? I hadn't thought that much about them, but after playing my Distillate some, I began to realize the implications of that extra few ounces of brass countersunk into that neck beam. Just don't have anything to compare it with. (yet) ;)

Hello  Gregory ,

I have always been a fan of the sound difference of the brass sustain block ever since I had the Alembic bridge and sustain block installed on my remaining Guild Starfire back in 1975. I noticed a difference then on that instrument and I have noticed a difference this time on my Essence . I completely feel and hear more sustain and an improvement of the tone to my ears . I also experienced  an intensified visceral aspect of the instrument in terms of punch . I like the difference .This instrument was improved to my taste  and my playing enjoyment and as what I feel happy about as representation of my sound as a Bassist . I also highly recommend the "Essence dual preamp pan module " that was installed in this Essence and the 3 position Q- switch. Collectively the upgrades that were done have all made this instrument even more stellar then before the work was done . I am happy with the results . Everyone at my last gig noticed and complemented my sound .
The added weight is not an issue for me since this is already the least heavy of any of my bass guitars . It is entirely swell :) !

Thanks Wolf, that's kinda' what I was thinking. ;)

Your Essence is basically wired up like my Mica sent the new components for my Persuader a couple years ago, Vol./Pan/Filt./3-pos.Q... sans sustain block of course.

Glad the new drummer is working out... that sure makes the evening go by. ;D

On my Essence I now also now have the new dual preamp pan module that now has two trim pots . One per pickup . That makes a big difference then the previous single trim pot that was shared to both pickups that was originally in my bass of 1992 vintage . :)  The new drummer has a good___" less is sometimes more cognizance" . We are exploring more harmonically and melodically as a result it seems . All good .

I finally established a YouTube channel . I named it SONICUS ALEMBICUS . I just posted the raw unedited un processed video footage of my band  "Easy Wind " @ the 2016 Berkeley Shakedown Street Festival . The MC ; Sunshine Garcia Becker did a nice Alembic Inc. promotion during our introduction . At some point when I have time I will do some work on the sound. I also have a separate much better audio recording that I will soon post on my Soundcloud site.

Here is the link to my YouTube Channel with my first postings.       https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyT9HcuBlDmfsgzsYVuuFKg

Thanks for the link Wolf... I often send videos of Easy Wind performance as a reference point to my buds in Harwell Grice Band.  ;)
