RIP
« on: April 24, 2016, 02:04:10 PM »
I just learned tha Aron Burton, a stalwart of the Chicago blues scene for more than 4 decades, passed away Feb. 29 of heart failure.
I did sound for Aron many times in the early '80s, and saw him play many more. He was a fine singer, a solid bassist, and a true gentleman.
I know his passing won't cause the seismic reaction of many of our other recent losses, but I couldn't let his demise go unnoted. He will be missed.

Man.Another legend gone.I played in a band back in the early 90's that shared a bill at B.L.U.E.S. in Chicago with him.Very sad news indeed.
